Dear Gulf District Families,
I’m pleased to announce that all Gulf District schools will reopen on Monday, January 27.
This past week has been an eventful one for our community. We’ve experienced the rare excitement of snow, tackled waterline breaks at Wewahitchka High School, and faced a major break in one of Port St. Joe’s water mains, which affected the surrounding areas. Thankfully, water service has been restored, and we’re grateful for the hardworking crews who made it possible. Please note that a boil water notice is still in effect for areas serviced by the City of Port St. Joe.
Additionally, I want to remind everyone that next week is “funding week” for our district. Student attendance during this period is critical, as it plays a significant role in determining our funding from the State. Let’s ensure our students are present and accounted for!
